I talked about it on the show. Now, here is my Arduino based robot, Bishbot!
Check out the video of Bishbot in action
I built it using an open source micro-controller called Arduino. You can find out all about Arduino here.
I got the inspiration (and confidence) to build this robot after reading this tutorial. He does a great job explaining the basics of the Arduino and how to program it. He also gives a detailed step-by-step guide to building a robot like this. If you are at all interested in this stuff, check out this tutorial. It’s a great way to get started with Arduino.
Trying to find treads to try a simular build but failing. What is the part list you used for Bishbot?
Thanx
I used the treads from this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=16638956
I don’t think they stock that item anymore, though. I am actually switching these treads out because they didn’t have the power I wanted. I upgrading to this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002DR3H5S/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You will also need a double gear box to control the treads indepently:

I’ll post a more detailed part list soon.
